Damage Reduction
Ok so i know:
knights + knights = only -1 dmg (nonstacking)
sup rune of absorption + sup rune of absorption = -3 dmg (nonstacking)
but:
knights + sup rune of absorption ?=? -4 dmg or -3dmg
do armor, runes, and shields stack damage reduction or do you only gain the benefit of the one with the most?

While we're on the topic of damage, does anyone know what difference there is between having like 9 strength and 12 strength (if you don't use the skills) and is it worth having 12 strength ???

Armor and Runes stack only once. So if You have Ascalon + Sup Absorp, you get -5
@Fatboyslimerr
9 Strength means 9% AP, 12 Strength means 12% AP. Note that these do NOT stack with Sundering prefix and Skills with AP !

Average Hit vs Target 80 AL
sword - 24 (16 Swordmanship)
axe - 25 (16 Axe Mastery)
With 9 Strength you get 26.6 with sword and 27.25 with axe
With 12 Strength you get 26,88 with sword and 28 with axe.
So the 3% is hardly noticed.

Str AP bonus only applies when using attack skills, so unless you are constantly doing so, the bonus from Str is usually useless. Don't put Str higher than you need it.

For shock warrior I usually have strength about 9.
I take it that AP from strength doesn't work for frenzy ???
I suppose that +9% AP for executioners/eviscerate/rake etc is worth it.
Thanks

To the OP: Knight's/Ascalon armor is -2 received damage, and Knight's + Sup Absorption is -5. Knight's + Sup Absorption + a shield with -2 = -7.
About Strength: It only works when using attack skills. Even then, it only works on the base weapon damage (the number from your weapon description) and not on the +damage from the attack skill. So the only reason to have Strength is for the skills, and you don't need high Strength to use most Strength-based skills.

Having one piece of knights absorbs the same amount as if you had a full suit. So if you have once piece of knights, lets say gloves, then sentinels and a brutes helm for your str, you'd be good. I dont use sup str i use minor str but if your willing to sacrifice the hp go ahead. I wouldnt since a w/e cant really heal while soloing hydras or w/e you need to solo so i'd put the sup vig and absorb with minor str and w/e other minor you like. Make sure you have 13 str otherwise you wont get that 100al on your sentinels.
Back to me :P -
(keep in mind this is for PVP mainly)
i have a shock warrior that i use swords for the most part but sometime axe. im not sure what armor to use so i need some help. I was thinkin like duelist/exec helm, glad hauberk, knights gloves, then dread/drag leg & boots and i guess i dunno what shield. what do you guys think? also i use auspicious parry which gives me adrenaline when i take a hit so do you think i should pickup a 20/20 sundering hilt or keep my furious? thanks.

Ch3n: It doesn't matter where you put the Absorption rune. Your armor setup is terrible though.
Jarryd999: Sundering is crap, Furious isn't that much better than it. You should be using Stonefist Guantlets with Shock. Knight's Boots, weapon helm, then rest Glad's so you have more energy for Shock.

Its mostly personal preferance, some people prefer different mods for difference situations.
I personally like:
Zealous or Vampiric
and
Fortitude or Defense
Fortitude more for PvP I would imagine.

Vamp or zealous hilt/haft and fortitude or defense pommel/grip are generally best.
I know the old 10/10 sundering was crap, but how does 20/20 compare to 3/1 vamp? I've been wondering about this, if anyone has crunched the numbers.
